Will gas prices affect how your vacation this summer?

I talked with all my friends about planning this summer.

Seem most of my friends said not sure about this summer by reason of Gas

Wonder if you have cut back vacations or still planning?

Mine still same planning but probably most going vacations without friends

Probably just twice going out of town but wait and see....to Pittsburgh of course and Erie, that's all.

Other than that we'll just hit the water park or something with friends as car pool together and pitch in for gas.

good question, indeed.

probably head down in SoCal to hit some hot beaches to surf at, explore all over Bay Area to find something interesting, softball, softball, softball tournament (NWSAD) and then work, work, work and work.

Yup, it does affect me in some part for vacation in FL, we can't go out for eat for all week, unlike in several years ago and we will have cook the dinner at nice rental house so often, also go out for eat at few time like 2-3 night.

Damn to gas price...

In the summer with the gas prices skyrocketing, I'd still be going out for a vacation but it will be closer to home, not afar.

I'm only going to limit my traveling to local and surrounding areas. Paying up at the pump is taking a chunk out of my wallet.

During the last two weeks, I did a 500 mile road trip throughout Nevada and Arizona in 10 days and man it did put in a huge dent in my wallet but I am determined to continue with road trips this summer.

First one will be down to Los Angeles. Im not going to let gas prices ruin my dream of seeing Lakers play in championships! I pray that Lakers will beat Boston for my birthday gift! Nice way to forget that I will be turning 41

Other trips will be to the coast or mountains but I will give up my daily latte at Starbucks in order to afford these mini road trips

Life is too short not to experience life.

I won't be traveling much this summer as I will be busy with my 2 jobs and gas is getting too expensive, also. I will be traveling locally during my day offs.

I had flied to Phoenx, Arizona last two week ago when I had caught cheap air fare last few month ago before fare price was too high. I took 1,050 miles trip in driving rent-a- car for several canyons in Arizona and Utah. Gasoline was cheap price as $3.65 in Arizona but was $3.99 to $4.05 in Utah and Las Vegas. Gas price was up. That s crazy. I must take to enjoy my trip.

In spite of the rape of our wallets, we are going on a 2,000 mile (RT) trip.

The farthest we probably will go would be to New Braunfels later this summer (if we get free tickets to Schlitterbahn park again) which is about 20 minutes away. Other than that, we will most likely stay here in San Antonio.

Gas prices won't prevent my vacation this year...it's my STUPID job- they decided to make new schools ALL-YEAR ROUND instead of operating on the typical 9-months schedule - which sucks big time.

I'm going to wallow in self-pity in a corner right now. *sulking*

Yes, we still make outing trips but limit like what PowerON suggest.

We planning to travel to Venice, Italy with car this summer but we postone it until next year because my British family will come to visit us for summer holiday which mean that we will take them around Germany, Austria and Republic Czech.

I will still have family vacation since my family will use my aunt's second house at shore... plus my dad recently got new car that save gas alot so he seems dont worry abt gas...

I will have other vacation in July, mostly use train, bus, and subway so I dont think it will affect my vacation from gas price...

In 2007: from DC to Moscow, Russia = $1,200 r/t (non-stop)

In 2008: from DC to Moscow, Russia = $1800 r/t (3 stops)

It does affect my travel plan, because I plan to fly there at end week of this month, but postponed to fall. If I go there this month, I spend more on flight ticket, and less spend in Russia. If I go to fall, I spend less on flight (hopefully ticket went down), and spend more in Russia.
