SF, California is generally a nice tourist city, also has excellent public transportation, you don't need a car to get around SF. They have light rail, subway, trolleys, buses/trolley buses and cable streetcars (those streetcars go up steep hills) (Transit (SF Muni / SFMTA)). You could go to Pier 39 (PIER 39 San Francisco's Premier Bay Attraction) which is famous for gift shops, many stores, etc. which is at the waterfront not far from downtown SF, also check out the Lombard St. zig zag street (Lombard Street (San Francisco - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)) that goes downhill layed out with bricks. Of course, the famous Golden Gate Bridge which is a beauty built in the 1930's. There's many more tourist attractions...google it and find more about them. I've been there many times when growing up in California and it's fun to hang out there.

Sorry, I didn't mean to blow up on you. I guess it's my fault. I should give you time to read it when you have time.

I forgot to add the famous Ripley's Believe it or not exhibit, I forget where it is located but you should check it out. They have lots of strange and interesting artifacts. I believe it's near Pier 39, for sure.

RME texanguy! CASTRO street is WAYYYYYYYYYYYYY on the other part of SF and what's more thier not the type to hump anyone like that ! ur misconception is just downright wrong!

now for u going to SF 2 things u want to do and its a ABSOULTEmust!!!

go to SF pier 39 sourdough soup place its on the bottom floor.. between the stairs just before u go down to the main part of the pier, 2nd place for u to go is to the famous wax place its in SF, just stay on the peir walkway and u'll find it down the road pier 39 is the ( partial dead end) rest of the peir 40 and up is for cruise and ships

SO when u stand looking at pier 39 go left to the walkways for the other part of SF if u plan to go deep into the heart of SF, go to market street they got ALOT of different culture shopping there! and if u want to do more than that time permitting. go to the japanese tea garden and to the exhibts thier fab for anyone! have fun there!

If the date gets even closer, I wish you all the best fun at SF, you could consider a quick update story on what you have been up to in SF, despite if you have been searching for a internet cafe for hours
