Beyond All Reason: My Life With Susan Smith
Have you ever read this book, I have this book for years...I end up reading it again...it made me cry my eyes out....This is an incredible book. Instead of writing a book and claiming he was the perfect guy and he was the victim, David told it how it was (unlike Susan Smiths mother, who also wrote a book that basically blamed everyone but Susan and the Russell family). He admitted that he was at times a bad husband. Both he and Susan were immature in their marraige. He made mistakes. But, he and Susan were perfect parents. Which makes this case all the more puzzling.
Why would Susan murder her two boys like this?! I get so angry I kept having to stop and ask myself WHY. WHY didnt she give Michael and Alex to David. WHY didnt she tell anyone that she didnt want those babies anymore. WHY did she drown them? WHY did she let their bodies rot for nine days?! I sympathize for David...... Tell me what you think about this...

Well,
Unfortunately, I haven't thought of Susan Smith for so long now because, of what she did to her own boys, that something I could never understand....This is her children which she choose to be with someone who isn't ready to have children.....I don't understand how someone can have a heart to live for the rest of her life knowing how stupiest she is for killing your own children just to be with that man....That's makes me so ill.... I could NEVER image myself being in her shoes.....I could NEVER pick a man first before my children.....I could NEVER live knowing what I have done....I don't know how she can!

Yes, I do remember this and read a book about Susan Smith, her boyfriend don't want her to come in package with 2 little boys.
I remember watching TV news in Australia seeing her crododile tears plead to everyone to find her two babies back! Abandon the boys in backseat of her car and let the car rolling into the lake, I wish it was her not her two little innocent toddler boys. That's real wicked of her I cannot understand!

OH whoa...thats an old story but i remember it so clearly like it happened yesterday! it is so heartbreaking! Susan said she did it cuz of some man she was having affair with didnt want her kids so she decided to get rid of them but like you said, she should have gave the kids to her husband. No excuse for that, she is a real bytch!!
Look at Andrea Yates..she killed her own five kids...she was mentally ill but i blamed her husband for not putting her in a mental hospital, heh! I never could understand why mothers would want to kill their own kids..its really sad!

Yeah, I hear all of you...she should have explored other options for taking care of her kids...I am positive that her husband, or ex-husband, would have taken them if she didn't want them...
But hey, NO man in this world would be worth losing my son over. NO man. I'm a package deal, yanno...just like she should have told her loser boyfriend..."If you want me, you get my kids too." Ironic though, isn't it...no man wants a murderer either...so now she's in jail with no kids, and no boyfriend. LOSER! Malfoyish |

What Susan Smith did was a stupid thing on her side -- no frigging excuse for killing her beautiful and INNOCENT boys just because her boyfriend didn't want the kids as part of the package of Susan's.
She's one depraved bitch -- sure hope she rots in prison and hell when she passes over. Children are INNOCENT, they have done nothing wrong to be murdered for!

I wondered If David is Remarried The Last Time I heard he was Married with Two Children already.. I wondered if that is true?
I can't believe She Lied the Whole time on National TV and I actually believed her My hearing Sister knew she was lying cuz Susan would not even look at the Camera when she is Talking. So My sister Knew something is up with her. and She was Right. Cuz me and Her got into an argument over that I told her but she has the kids not the father. I thought The Kids were Kidnapped the whole time.

I also read the letter between her & her former lover Tom what Susan wrote to him is normal & no sign of mental illness shown. I really donīt understand why she did it to get her lover back which he donīt want her. What Susan did make me fucking sick.... She lied the police for 9 days until she confussed herself to them at last. I feel hurt for her 2 innocent boys who forced to drown themselves by her mother.... I HATE HER!!!

I found at websites over Diane Downs who shot her 3 children what I stated an earlier...
You can compared between Susan Smith & Diane Downs.... What they did their children are mostly horrible.... but Diane Downs is the different from Susan... Susan should pulled the car brake to stop to let her sons drown when she changed her mind for not want to end her life but let her sons to end their life? I think she did is no excuse!!!
