I would like to see the inputs of your thoughts in this document I have read earlier tonight and for my own opinion - I am absolutely disgusted and this man, John Skyes is the worst president ever seen.
The proof of this document is this: link
Please go to page 45 until 53 - John Skyes, is the President of Deafness Resource Centre, and is absolutely an idiot.
What the ...?
In bold - what was your expression when you read this? I outraged when I read this part
Trevor Johnson is the author of the AUSLAN dictionary that begun in 1987.
Please input your thoughts of this document, as this deaf services for Canberra is in deep trouble, due to this president AND the CEO of the service.

The Oxford Dictionary defines 'deaf' as 'wholly' or partly without hearing' and yet those who are profoundly deaf want to spell 'deaf' with a captial D and look down on the people who are only hearing impaired. The people who are hearing imparied do not want to talk to the deaf becuase they are a raunchy mob that don't want to cooperate with other people
What the ...?
"Because the deaf cannot communicate easily with other people, they become socially isolated, often poorly educated and in some occasions unable to perform the basic functions within the community. For example, we had a lady of about 50 years of age. She had a $50,000 cheque in her handbag for six months because she did not know how to cash it. When this woman had been at school the teachers did not know what to do with her and they had sent her down to the canteen each day to help with the cleaning."

"There is a gentleman by the name of Trevor Johnston, a professor, I think, who has written a dictionary. Within that quite large dictionary there are five different signs for ‘learning’. Within other areas of Auslan there are a variety of different signs. If I as a person who knows nothing about Auslan want to pick up a dictionary and start learning a vocabulary, I do not know which of these areas variations in fact I am going to use. So there is a need for consistency in the Australian sign language we have. But then when we go overseas there is an American sign language, a New Zealand sign language, an Irish sign language and a British sign language. They are all different. That is using English as a base. That is before you get into other languages."
