When you were little girl or boy, What did you want to be when you grew up?

When I was little girl. I really want to have 12 children and become a school teachers. Also, I want to be Bewitched when I become a woman.

Look at now, I work for Government, have two children and no magic for me.

When I was a boy, I wanted to be a pilot of an airline and fly everywhere on this planet to visit different places. I also wanted to have houses in different countries so that I would have places to live everywhere and save on a lot of money on hotel charges. Now, I am glad I am not a pilot, but I still want houses in other countries!!!

I'm an ASL Lab tutor now, and I unexpectedly moved to Utah. It's fun!

I grew up wanting to be involved in the movies and backstage of theatre...or a Vet.
I'm neither.

Developed a bad case of stage fright so decided acting wasn't for me!

As for the career as a vet...it'd be nice, but it would be too heart rending seeing all the animals suffering and all. I'd rather not be involved in that section of specialisation. Taking care of animals on a farm as a hobby would be nice!

Have been working 10+ years in the disability field...currently in between jobs.

I wanted to be a waitress...weird strange but true.
In high school I wanted to be the theatre critic for the NY Times..I love Broadway (both musicals and straight drama) and that way I'd get to see all the shows for FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now I either want to be a Teacher of the Deaf (on the other hand if I was an iteinerant TOD I'd be trying to recruit the oral deaf and hoh kids to ASL and Deaf Culture

) or a Women's Studies Professor!

I wanted to teach English to deaf kids in Deaf schools or mainstream. Many of my friends lack the kind of English comprehension and writing skills they need to have in order to live a little more successfully. But that changed when I entered high school, teacher's have too much crap and too much paper work.

I currently work in retail, at a shop that sells beads. I process and package them, among other things. I love my job, but its not forever. My heart is in graphic design now

As a little girl... I wanted to be a successful actress/model. I was always a "princess" growing up... spoiled rotten.. hehe.

I never thought myself to become a mother... didn't like the thought of the whole birth process (traumatic!). Rather adopted tons of animals and take care of them as my own... and oh yeah, I remember I wanted to live in a pentahouse and have the occasional guy in my life,.. and if things screw up, I get to kick him out! Hehe... yup, that was me growing up.

Now I'm in between college and career... a LONG transition... I may move to Europe where I hope to get into education as well as the travel industry (tour guide, planner?).

I've always fantansized myself all dressed in a victorian dress and living in a world where there is no technology nor electricial. Now I'm a student majoring in Human Sociology and I heart to go antique shopping! Nope, I'm not a heiress. Darn.

I wanted to be a private investigator when I was younger, but I knew that it did not happen to me. However, right now, I am still in college trying to complete the courses, then get MS degree and get out of SF.

Investigating is my hobby now.

....when i was little girl, i wanted to be 16yrs old with long hair and getting in college and graduate with a MFA.... Now i am 17, and i chopped off 14inches of my hair and i am a freshman in a college, getting BA first then if time and money permits, will get a MFA.

I was a very realistic child. I already knew about Gally by age 7 and i was debating wtih my mom about whether to go to Gally or stay in SD for local college by age 10. lmao, people thought i would be a lawyer when i was young. Majoring in arts certainly shocked people because they thought i have so much "potential".... hmph i guess so many people don't understand the logical of choosing a "job" that you WANT to work and ENJOY.. i wont enjoy Law or anything else.

with high high high visibility.... With too many blocks,

For the past years, I love being humble
BEHIND the Internet scene in the world of
Internet Technology Infrastructure handling thousands
of e-mail messages on a daily basis communicating
with over 5,000 Engineers and Researchers Worldwide
loving every minute of it !
I used to be very famous in their "Underground world"
of the Internet. Almost all of these Engineers & Researchers
know me....but not anymore due to these
upper management decisions for screwing up my career
based on "discrimination". My former boss (male) was
a truly F**King asshole for taking all of my credits and
he even got angry and jealous of me
when everyone said good things about me and my work.
He did NOT do a good job himself for years,
and guess what I just got "LAID OFF"!!! (instead of him, grrrrr)

Now, I do NOT mind even looking for any data-entry work
and/or even post office work and I do not give a Damn !!!!!

I love to watch cops caughting bad people and get them off the street.. But one of my friends say.. U gotta get shot before any other hearing officers lol.. which that is correct!!.. but too bad my wish cant come true... I wanted more than anything to be a police officer.. im pretty tough.. I know i could do the job very well but the problem is.. cant hear.. when someone coming from behide or if diapatcher tried calling for help.. sucks!!!

when i was young i wanted to be marines or air force to serve our country also, to be lawyer or counslor ... but now i don't get round where i want to be ... and have been in college to study pre law or paralegals but it isn't for me because i never good at study homework at all lol .. that's me ... right now i have decent job better than nothing ... also, right now i am consider to go back to college once again to try again to study on pre law or paralegal ... everybody else thought that i should be counslor or actor or work for the politics but i don't want that !! few reasons why is that counslor that i wouldn't take it because if i do that then i might not be social with deaf community that much because of that professial types , actor heck no thanks because i don't want the ppl think that i am that snob or infamous in the world forget it , work for politics i wouldn't mind at all because i like to debates about politics stuffs it is very interest but would i get promotion to better position ?? i don't think so ... since i have heard that hearing politics always think hearing ppl is perfect than disablity which one of my friend was trying to get up to new level but they keep put him below ... that where it got my mind stuck and figure out it is not for me ... unless i have something up on my sleves to roll up then i would go for it ...
