Electoral Vote vs. Popular Vote

Your opinion?

Should the Electoral vote be banished?

Should the Popular vote be the deciding factor?

If one wins the popular vote and the other wins the Electoral vote, should the method be challenged?

Debate this topic!

this is a hot debate. Depend on chance...

Al Gore won Popular votes but George Bush won Electoral votes. That was the year we will never forget. Recount... Recount... Recount... forever mark our history.

It would be nice if system was set up to count fully down to popular votes because its more of true numbers of people wanting.

However, if you look at primary election for president candidate. Democrat use full popular votes to determine best candidate while Republican use win all even if they had less popular vote. Republican already announced president candidate and had to wait forever to see Democrat to decide who wins. It could affect the voting in Nov... Longer it takes to count, the more borderline tip over to one side than other.

Popular vote takes a lot time to count all votes. It could worth the wait. It depend on which side you are. Its falls in your favor or falls to your opponent.

I am in the middle of something right now but, at first blush, (for me) I think it would be dangerous to eliminate the Electoral College.

This debate has gone on for years and it will never change. My class discussed this last night in Politics and Communication.

It could be voters are eager to vote over popular vote and later, realize the reality that Electoral vote have won in opposite?
