the Race card is when a given race claims racisism for the motivations of someone or something.
Or here is a better explanation. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Race_card |

![]() And, if you will go back and read all of the reports on this event, you will find that race was very much a motive for these disturbed individuals. So, if there is such a thing as this alleged race card, who is playing it? It would appear to be the white race, not the black one. |

Why is it acceptable and amusing to mock the names of Republican candidates but not Democratic candidates? Why is it OK to make jokes about Republican planes being shot down or crashing, but it is hateful and racist to joke about an assassination plot against Obama?

If people can make references about Obama, we can make references about McCain. You want to paint Obama as a marxist and a radical? I will paint McCain as a crappy pilot and use the plane analogy to describe his campaign. |

hmmm... here's a weigh scale...
left side - you as boy aka J's parrot... and right side - Reba as a very seasoned military journalist... weighing.... weighing.... hmm... ay de mi.. your side's feeling quite light, Brad. your view and your thought are clearly biased and one-sided but that's ok. it's how the world is but the sticky thing is... you're strongly asserting that yours is more correct one. and what's funny to me is... you're worshipping and glorifying Obama like he's a Messiah for USA.... a man who has not proved a damn thing in his life. Look at Bill Clinton.... Collin Powell.... Michael Jordan.... Robert de Niro... they didn't get a respect and recognition just because they talk good. They walked the walk and talked the talk and got a long history of record to prove it. Obama? He talked the talk and walked nothing and got a pretty short record.

Now, Sen. Obama's life is a 21st-century incarnation of the old-fashioned American dream. His achievements are proof of our continuing progress toward the more perfect union of our founders' dreams.
The values of freedom and equal opportunity, which have given him his historic chance, will drive him as president to give all Americans -- regardless of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or disability -- their chance to build a decent life and to show our humanity, as well as our strengths, to the world. We see that humanity, that strength, and our nation's future in Barack and Michelle Obama and their beautiful children. We see them reinforced by the partnership with Joe Biden, his fabulous wife, Jill, a wonderful teacher, and their family. Barack Obama will lead us away from the division and fear of the last eight years back to unity and hope. So if, like me, you believe America must always be a place called Hope, then join Hillary and Chelsea and me in making Barack Obama the next president of the United States. Thank you, and God bless you. Thank you. Clinton: Barack Obama is the man for this job - CNN.com Straight from the trascript of Cinton's speech. He walked the walk, got the respect, and now he's passing it on to Obama. It's official, folks. |

Fine speech by Bill. unfortunately not convincing enough to give Obama a serious thought. one can say Democratic Party's just grasping for straws to get White House under democratic control.

Watching the news just now; they were interviewing one of the guys arrested in the assasination plot. This is a quote from him:
"Yeah, we were gonna do it. He don't belong in office. Blacks don't belong in office. He deserves to be shot." |

OK
I love politics, and I love Obama. I admit that as much as I try to push it out of my mind, there are a lot of delusional, psychotic, inbred, right-winged fanatical douchebags out there who are capable of such an unspeakable act. I am fully aware of the implications of all this and it chills me to my core to think that America has fallen that far... But they found 44 grams of meth in that truck....44 GRAMS! I'm no marksman, but at that kind of distance, it's safe to say you'd need to hold the rifle steady. There's not a chance in hell. So as horrifying as an attack on such a fine American mind would be...I will sleep soundly tonight with dreams of what's awaiting these backwoods fucks in jail tonight. I hope it feels like they've been raped by a train. Last edited by orione1even; 08-27-2008 at 10:40 PM. Reason: wording |

Biden's speech.... I'm sorry but this whole "change" thing is not thrilling to me. Obama's vision is not conducive of capitalism and innovation. Because all the money is going to people... the freeloaders.... The whole shibang of equal pay, equal this, equal that... how is it not similar to Marxism? There would be less and less incentives for corporations and wealthy people to create competitive markets and innovations.
I'm sorry to sound like a snobby asshole but i did not live in America to be as equal as a freeloader. I work hard for bigger pay.. and he works and get lesser pay... but we're equal? he gets equal pay, equal medicare as me? Now that's something wrong in the picture. if i want to be equal, i can just go move to communist/socialist country and not worry about whole bullshit like medicare and crap. There's a reason why there are fierce competitions and classes. Look at Russia. It didn't work. Look at China. It didn't work. and it's not gonna work in here either. |

Michelle Obama is a huge driving force and a big influence on Obama... which led to this day. You know what? Michelle should be running for President, not him. I can almost say she'd get my vote.

Buzz An exclusive TIME/CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll reveals that Barack Obama leads John McCain by several percentage points in three crucial battleground states—Nevada, New Mexico and Pennsylvania—while McCain tops Obama by 1% in Colorado.
Obama's widest margin is in New Mexico, where 53% of registered voters said they prefer the Democrat to 40% who favor McCain. Obama also holds a five-point advantage in Nevada (49% to 44%). Both states went narrowly to George W. Bush in the 2004 election. |
