Sorry if I was reffering to your title of this thread, the America didn't stop the war with Vietnam. America only go there to help South Vietnam fighting against North Vietnam, but things became worse and harder to end the war with North Vietnam so the America just leave the war, they didn't win or lose, only South Vietnam lost the war. North Vietnam won the war and turn the Vietnam into one country, a communist country. They are still a communist country today.

Well, GarnetTigerMom is right, the soldier would disagree with us and say it's for protecting our country, but that kind of situation, well we tried help South Vietnam, but there is nothing we can do better... I agree it's sad..

The Vietnameses didn't attack us. So why protect USA from Vietnameses who didn't attack us here.

We went over and interfered. Got into their business.

Why we have to help other countries with war?

The only good reason for us to get in war, when Muslims attacked us in 9/11 and when Japan attacked Pearl Harbor.

That is the only 2 good reasons.

South Vietnam asked us for help, that's why.

Well Japan attacking our Pearl Harbor is not the only reason why we get in the war. That is the reason why we enter the WWII Pacific Theatre because of Japan, and for Europe, it is because France need our help to fight against Germany, that is why we enter the WWII in Europe.

You miss the point, The goverment in Vietnamese were bad. So North and South vitnam were at war with each other. Then they asked for us for help. But we lost the war, remember many of the us american soliders were there long time, most of them killed, POWS (Prisoner of war), and MIA (Missing in action), my dad was one of them and I just greatful he alive. But not so many of his friends make it out alive. Most of them killed, mia and pows. It was the most terrible war and they suffer bad memories.

Speaking of muslims it always religons issues and power with them because they are crazy and they do not like america.
