It is legal as mediciene in several states, but the restrictions are all different.

California's restrictions are just better than other states.

Nevada says if you smoke pot and aren't licensed, then you go to jail for 30 years to life. Weak.

I understand what do you mean. How I would get a license? I have a retina. I don't know if Medical Marijuana can get high. I never try.

What are Nevada's Laws on Marijuana Possession?
Nevada's main distinction in marijuana possession is not by weight, but by the age of the defendant. While usually courts handle younger defendants with more leniency, in Nevada the penalties for youthful possession of marijuana is much stiffer than those for adults.

Possession of ANY AMOUNT of marijuana by a minor (under 21) is automatically guilty of a felony offense, and can be sentenced to 1 - 4 years in prison (or juvenile facility, depending on your age) and a $5,000 fine. Perhaps that's the law of the state. Could it be possible that the laws of Las Vegas are different? I'm sure there's some regional laws involved. After all, they don't like stoners using up all the hotel room while everyone who's drunk or coked up playing all the games in the casinos. Does this make sense?

No, it doesn't. State law is state law. It supercedes city or county law.

Well, it depends on your history, how much you have, whether you're selling or not and your age.

If you've been busted more than once, more than ounce, selling, and under 30's. Very possible you're bound to go to the rehabiliation or jail.

Jillo is right. I never hear of anyone go to prison for 30 years for Marijuana Possession. It depend on criminal record history. I know who is that person go to jail for Marijuana Possession and Driving while suspend. He went to jail for 1 days and released. But he have to pay for fines. The people's choice go to jail or rehab.

In my region country one man got bust by police pulled over his truck. His charge of speeding and have a marijuana about 12 oz in his pickup truck. The sheriffs came to his house for warrant. The swat team found his marijuana about 200 to 250 pound in his garage lockers and basement. He went to jail stay there for a while. He will send to prison for Marijuana Dealing. I don't know how long he will stay in prison. He is waiting for court schedule.

When I hear from newspaper and I will post a link of news here soon as possible. He is an idiot! He suppose not drive a speed. His neighbor told to the police that he is not very friendly.

By the way, I love to watch COPS on Fox and Courtv channels. And America Most Wanted too. It's my favorite shows.

Actually, they changed the laws.

The cops were tired of putting "stoners" in jail.

As of now, all punishment and sentences have been reduced.

The punishment I heard was from long time ago, I still thought it'd stand, but looks like it didn't.

i dont think its bad. unless you do it all the time- then you'll get stupid. You should check out the movie "Super High Me". Its hilarious and somewhat informative.

Pot has different effects on different people. there are some people shouldnt smoke it because it makes them really paranoid or do stupid things. And you shouldn't drink or get drunk after smoking pot. Also it depends on the weed. Also i dont think kids, or people under 18 should try it, because their minds are still growing. if that makes any sense.

I've done some of my best paintings and written some of my best philosophy papers while high. For me, it opens up my mind more. I only do it once every two-three months now.

I agree the most what you said. It depends on people and what kind of weeds they individually use, etc.

Getting high helps people open the mind much more esp on arts, music, or such alike; that I agree. Yet odd enough, I knew a deaf friend, who was very good at drawings, said that pot didn't help him at all. hmm So it depends on the individuals like you said.

At one point as a college student I drank two-three beers while writing essays and found it very helpful. Also I played basketball great while in hang-over (the next day after drinking) for three weekends straight. It helped thaw my muscles up playing great b-ball so did other two teammates too... interesting.

That's true. I agree with Amy either. I am good at drawing, painting, jewelry making and cooking while I was high. But I don't like to use glue on stuff while high. It will cause inhale more high. It depend on painting kind. If you're painting on the wall. It's very strong smell. It will make you more HIGH.

Some people with high and doing with mechanic and repair on vehicles. It does help them. It's normal way. They like to play sports while high.

Some people are dumb and heavier on drugs. It's not good on activities. They rather to be lazy and sit down. It's lack of motivate on activities. Do you know what I meaning?
