9/11 - what happened?

With the pain of all the lives lost still strongly embeddedin America's society, I wonder why apart from mourning, what is done to find explanation about what happened.

Living in Norway I don't hear much about it, and just recently came across a powerful documentary with startling evidence.

What I want to find out here is: what is your opinion about the explanations given by the government?

not three towers down....Actual two towers (twin Towers).

Ok, Well the day of Sept. 11th, After two planes had hit World Trade Center, One plane was on it's way to Washington, DC That's how we knew it was a terrorist attack. The government had stated that we were under attacked, and bin Laden was responsible of the attack, but instead they went after Saddam, and went on with the war in Iraq. It's surprised me that nobody was held accountable for the attack that they knew ahead of time, there was a plan, Why didn't they tight the securities? People lives were cost that day, and bin Laden is walking free like Sept. 11th never occurred. But some American people want to put the blame on Clinton, when it happened under Bush's term. Mostly Bush fail to bring justice for what happened on Sept. 11th, Instead of getting Saddam out, He could have started with bin Laden right from the start, but he did not.

Did he ever asked us if we wanted this war to begin with? It was all about him and family history with Saddam. So, my opinion on the government's explaintion, is full of shit, everything they stated doesn't even make sense, with the war we are having now and from the start.

The Americans did go after Bin Laden in Afghanistan after the 9/11 attacks but they had no luck to find him.

Yes that's right but why they go after Saddam of Iraq when they know it's Bin Laden of Afghanistan?

Yes I know. I agree with the war in Afghanistan but I don't agree with the war in Iraq.

And you buy that? I don't. They weren't that desperately in finding Bin Laden, but they were desperate in finding Saddam. Bin Laden was the bigger threat, and should have search harder for him.

It was extremely difficult to find Bin Laden. Is he still alive or not?

But it was not too difficult to find Saddam? which they found him in the bottom of a hole underground. Nobody knew if Saddam was alive or dead either, but they found him, They could do the same with Bin Laden. If he is dead, they'll find his body, if he is alive, they'll still find him.

Well, they will find Bin Laden one of these days, alive or dead. Not everyone is easy to find. Sometimes it can take several years to find a criminal or a terrorist.

Why did WTC-7 collapse???

In history it never happened that a steel structure collapsed due to fire. Never... until WTC-1 and WTC-2 after getting hit by planes and WTC-7 hit by.... nothing....

Well, I'm not into politics but I'll say how I feel about this whole thing...I don't know who's telling the truth or if they really are telling the American people the real facts behind all of this by knowing what really did happened that day, all I can say is that I wasn't there, and it's hard to sit and listen to what the government or the president himself is telling us what they know etc, even I don't know every details or have seen any real life threating letters or evidences that link to whoever did this, only heard what I've seen on TV or by reading from newspapers etc...In my opinion, I don't believe a second that Bush is being totally honest about what really happened that day or what he really knows...and I do feel that the government still hidding something and not telling us everything, I don't think so highly for our president Bush anymore is because of what he did that day when the attacked happened, Bush was sitting in a Florida classroom for 5 minutes at least after he was told that the second Twin Tower has been hit and that America was being attacked and thousands of people were dying or screaming for help, how can someone sit there and not doing anything about it at that moment, when we are counting on them to protect us when they didn't do it as faster as they could...

I can understand those kind of feeling somewhat. I have to admit that I am not into politics either. I'm an engineer.

But as an engineer, I can see from the pictures that the towers fell with the same speed as a rock would fall. Freefall speed...in a vacuum.
The original version is that the tower got weakened and therefore collapsed. But had it happened like this, then the towers would take much longer to fall.
This is NOT rocketscience. The formula's used are taught when you are 14 years old!!!

So, as an engineer, I can see that that explanation is totally WRONG. When people show this to the government.. they get no reply. The BOGUS explanation is still maintained. Even though it cannot have happened.

This kind of attitude from the government is what worries me.
What worries me more is that many Americans think that two towers collapsed. In fact, 3 towers collapsed!! No explanation from the government.

What I cannot understand is why not more people demand questions. almost 3000 people died that day. 100's died later from the dust they inhaled and 10.000 will die due to the asbestos that they inhaled...
But focus is on grief regarding the dead, anger towards the people thatthe government told everyone that were responsible....

The dead should be honoured by finding out what happened.

Do a search on 911 on YouTube.com or video.google.com and have a look....

You don't need to be political to ask questions. And one should demand answers!

He allread knew about the first one when he went there. He said so a couple of months later that "he saw the plane hit the tower and thought.. "That's a terrible pilot"".
So, with that crises, he went along with the planned schedule!!

And all these secret service people around him... having the latest in communication technology... they knew everything that happened.... and remained calm, finishing the scenarion they planned....
It's weired... A badly written soap... If it had not been such a catastropy.. it would have been funny!

Cloggy is correct, 3 did collapse that day.

The one he's speaking of is World Trade Centre 7. I remember when they mentioned the collapse of that building the day it happened, they mentioned it on several news stations. Now it's pretty much a forgotten moment.

There's more than just two World Trade Centre buildings, there were 7 of them. 3 of them collapsed on that day.

That's what they want you to focus on... Two towers hit by planes. Two collapse... This "makes sense".

3 did fell down.. WTC-1, WTC-2 and WTC-3 (hotel) yes third one did fell down. it is not BIG like WTC but smaller one. It was on the news. I watched the third building fell down.. i was like aww.. it was on fire as well. I am sure there are more building cuz 16 acres?? obivously HUGE more than buildings have fell down and and not to forget underground stores and all that ?? so many have caught on fire and fell down..

Yeah, I can see your point, You brought up a good question, I would like to know also. Thanks for pointing that out, because I would never know there were three that collapsed that day, if it wasn't for you.

All of the 7 buildings were destroyed and not to forget the Church nearby too. ( i didnt know church was destroyed too? wow)
