Your deaf kids and the hearing world

So what can you do, right now, for your deaf kids? You work at teaching them how to build those different tightropes that will become bridges.
It is the job of a parent to give their dhh kids ALL the possible tools to survive in the world. There are many different pieces to the puzzle. Give them the tools for independance, so yes they can function both with and without their devices, but they also have the value of a vibrant community, higher language skills, and don't end up completely oral but afraid to venture out in public without a hearing ear person. There's no One Answer to building those bridges.
