Yes you are seeing things.... LOL

Its the atmospheretic reaction with sulphuric compounds rise to the surface. This makes the picture look blue when it's not.

However the 1st pic (Huka Falls) It looks so bright blue even if seen from far apart Is that the same sulfur reaction from the mud shown in the other pic?
