Hi,
I am Harry Red, 36 years old hard of hearing Phamarcist,born in
Calabasa, California.I am sending this to all the deaf people i know just to
warn them to be very careful because of the bad and terrible things
people are doing to deaf and hard of hearing people. I met a young
woman online in 2008 and she told me how much she loved me. We dated
for 8 months and she told me she wanted to do heart surgery. I sent
her $6,000 and she told me she had car accident and i sent $4,500 for
hospital bill.I sent her over $52,000 before i decided to stop
because she asked for another $96,000 and i told her i will give her
$50,000 but she said "no" i must send everything. That is how i knew
she has fake love for me. She told me to send another money to pay
her rent and i said "no" and she stopped talking to me. I traveled to
her address and i found out it was all lies. Please be very careful
the kind of people you make friends with online. I only wanted love
and she broke my heart. Looking for a female friend that we can start as
friends and develop into love.

Are you a pharmacist or a pharmacy technician??

anyways people often scam and lie. Any person that you do not know ask for money online is not a person you should be chatting with or start a relationship with. People that ask for money will continue to milk and scam you for every $ you have.

Sorry this happened to you but next time if a person ask you for money on the interent you need to RUN!!

This is one of those things that happens to everyone. Many, Many more hearing folks are suckered into this than deaf/HOH. It's just a coincidence that you are HOH. When looking for love on the internet, keep your wits about you. there are SO many scammers out there that its almost not worth looking on line. They ask for money? Move on! :cool2:
 
Anytime someone asks you for financial help with medical care, rent, etc, offer to send the money directly to the provider/landlord/etc. If your sweetie balks and insists on receiving the cash, SCAM. I hope you stared a police report and get the court involved. Who knows who else she was bilking?

I still do not understand why someone would want to con people out of money they worked hard to make. It is a strange world we live in today. It is going to be long before i can trust someone again.

I looked up the BOP and your name does not show up as you being a Pharmacist. All pharmacist has to be registured under the BOP/NABP

Don't be too hard on yourself. Consider this a life lesson. Do a little internet search to see what methods others use to keep themselves safe when searching for love on the internet. Tip: make sure you meet before ever talking about money.

Personally when I was looking for love (before I met my current girlfriend), I just assumed that 99% of the ladies I met online would not be honest. I had a nice long "relationship" with one such lady on line. When finally she asked money for a medical problem (she asked for something like $150). I told her I was disappointed that she asked me for money. After going back and forth about this for a couple of days, I finally asked if she would tell me what her real name is. She answered "No".

I can see the attraction of these dating web sites, but if you do not have your guard up you will be taken advantage of.

And what happen to you has nothing to with being HOH or dear, this happen seniors to a lot and anyone that is not careful with their money.

No, I think I would be the most reliable to take everyone's money and re-distribute it fairly. After I take off my 90% distributor fee first. So, the more money you send, the better !!
