** The Deaf social at Buckland Hills Mall in my last post is intermittent and sometimes meets at a restaurant. Join https://www.facebook.com/groups/If.You.Sign.You.Are.In/ for updates on dates and location.

Another area activity is The Mouth storytelling events which are ASL interpreted. This is held at the Mark Twain House in Hartford, CT. The interpreting is provided for free to the event hosts by an interpreter training program. Most of the interpreting is done by the two certified terps who run the training program but occassionally student interpreters will get an opportunity to practice. The number of DHH and other ASL users in attendance varies.

The dates and topics of the 2017 program are:
March 31 - You Can’t Always Get What You Want
June 9 - Take My Advice
September 8 - Realizing the Obvious: Epiphanies
November 17 - All In The Family

(Not sure why they don't list that it is interpreted on their website but it is.)
