Struggling to understand my deafness

My husband has just pointed something out to me, it has not registered as I don't sign. But over here we will get an interpreter after watershed,
So after 9pm and before 6am otherwise we don't see them.
I am in the UK so I also have the factors you pointed out :)
 
you are not alone, its not just in Australia, it's in the US too .. in the deaf world, we are far behind on a lot of things. :(

Most emergency broadcasts I've seen (replays on news) show signers either next to the speaker or in a video box on the tv screen. Not saying it's everywhere in the USA, but I've seen them many times.

And when they do put a signer in a box, its either wrong signs or cant see it too dark or cant see hands.
