I've been seeing it all over facebook lately on deaf friends facebook pages.

Like...... they're snapping in pictures? They're typing snap snap? What exactly are you saying they're doing? There is a lot of deaf slang out there, it varies area to area, group to group or whatever. Some deaf friend circles may have their own sign for a joke..... You still need to be a bit more specific in what you're talking about.
