One thing I'm curious about....why is the placeline in Kansas City Mo? The Kansas School for the Deaf is in Olathe (I know b/c one of my friends sends her HOH daughter to KSD)
I'd like to do some research in this area. I think part of the reason why student achievement is still very low is b/c nowadays a school for the deaf is seen as a last place resort placement (especially for those from hearing families) so most of the time you get kids who are very very behind and don't fit in (educationally speaking) anywhere else.

Do you mean "placeline" as this?
"From: Kansas City Star - Kansas City,MO,USA - Mar 27, 2004" ??

If so, Kansas City Star (a newspaper) is in Kansas City,MO. it was not referring to School's location.

Yes, Boult, that's what a placeline is. However, placelines are used to identify the place of a newsevent. It doesn't ID the newspaper. (I should know as I am a journalism major)
