I'm hearing and have never met a deaf/hard of hearing LGBT individual, are you received differently for being deaf?

I know this from other friends who are deaf and LGBT-

In general they're accepted but there are definitely small groups of hearing LGBT (for example say Leather or Bears) do not do so well with deaf/HOH. It's no different than the hearing world in general and how they react/respond to d/Deaf/HOH people

The bigger issue I see is more IN the Deaf/HOH LGBT community. Many of the L and G don't accept the T (and sometimes the B) and say vile things about Trans. It's getting better with education but still a ways to go.

I'm hoh and bi/pansexual and have not had issues in terms of hoh; have had issues - as DeafDucky mentions - regarding some "L" and "G" accepting me as bi....Trans folks are sadly often still VERY marginalized/treated badly in any community.
