As for plants...I really have no idea if there were any specific plants that grow in Las Vegas only. I know that in AZ, there is the Saguaro but the flowers werent blooming at the time. I am trying to think..I wasnt really paying attention to the plants around the hotels.

There wasn't any particular reason for you to do so. What made me think of it goes back a long, long, way. I had an aunt that grew up in southern Illinois and then as an adult moved to Tulsa, OK. She had an allergy history and the allergy greatly improved after she moved. Then some time after she moved there were quite of number of man made lakes dug in the area and the climate and plants seemed to change. Her allergies also go worse.
