Hi all, first of all my english its not so good, im from malaga ( spain ), im 23 years old, im audiologyst, i was finished my degree 1 year ago, im specialist in tinnitus.

Well whit that ear lost.

I recomended Oticon Chili sp5, sp7 and sp9 its ur chooice this hearing aid have to much power and got many extras. Olso if you have 18 or less i recomended naida because in my earing center i have some casses whit that kind of hearing aids.

I'm def past the 18 mark, I'm 37. Are naidas mostly geared for kids? Because that was the aid I was going to ask my audi about today when I go in. I'll be checking back here later before i go in for, right now I gotta get my butt to work.
 
If you have 37 i just recomended oticon chili sp 5, 7 or 9, 9 its brilliant, feedback control its excelent, SPD extra, more and more extras, olso you can try ( oticon amigo ) i dont know in english but its a series of extras like for talk whit your friend ( Oticon Amigo FM transmitters, receivers and accessories ).

And from my point of view Naida its perfect for kids olso sarafi from oticon.

Widex have a new hearing aids im never taste at the moment BABY440 - Widex for hearing healthcare professionals but some people what i know it said its good.
 
Well, I got my new aids, the Ambras, but i still am really iffy about if I should be in them. I talked to him about my power concerns and he seems to feel the Ambras can handle my loss.

I should note that the audiogram up there is from about a month ago at Costco, and my allergies were bugging me at the time. We pulled my audiogram from January, the left ear the results were about the same, my right ear the results from January everything was about 5db better across the board so i don't know. I'm wearing them right now and everything is actually kinda loud lol. The only person I'm having any kind of hard time hearing is my sister, who has a very high voice, but even still I only miss a word here and there. maybe I'm worrying over nothing? I asked him about the Naidas and he seems to feel they're better for kids. I don't get it, I see a lot of adults with them on here. I'll see how the next week goes, I have 30 days to make up my mind. But It's really odd that every audi that sees my audiogram says they'd put me in Naidas UP, not even SP!! Does the 5dbs make THAT much of a difference?

yeah I mean come on, I have an Oticon Safari and it works great for my moderate/severe/severe loss :D

any adult can use a Naida, like Bottesini with her cool dark blue one.

also the Chili works for severe/profound which I might try if my hearing loss goes downhill later in my early 20's or something lol.
 
What is really confusing me about it is, I think he likes the Ambras because of all the features, I mean they are really cool! but I'm pretty sure the Naidas have the same Spice technology, I don't know if the Ambras have even more features on top of the Spice that the Naidas don't have. I just think it's really really weird! When I go back next monday for the next fitting, he's going to plug them into the computer and the aids will tell him everything it did, all the automatic programs it used, which ones got used more, and it will tell him everything I did with, how often I changed programs, which ones I used more, what i was doing with the volume etc, so it can be better, more personally adjusted going by what it's actually doing. Do the Naidas do that? I would think that that could be a big reason he's leaning towards the Ambras, but if the Naidas do that too.....well then I'm stumped.
 
Pretty sure the computer can get the same info from the Naida. My audie did the same thing a couple weeks after I started wearing my Naida (and I have a pre-Spice generation Naida), and she was asking me about the volume use (I accidentally hit the volume instead of the program button one day while trying to switch to telecoil, hence why the computer showed the volume increase).

well you should try Oticon since it's the most powerful one out there. Phonak doesn't even compare to it. give it a try if you can.

Phonak Naida up is stronger then the Oticon Chilli....
 
I can't afford another upgrade seeing as I just got a new aid not long ago and I won't be approved for an early upgrade again either. Also my audi said the naida is stronger than the oticon chili
 
Oticon Chilli can't be fitted all the way down to 120db on all frequencies where the Phonak Naida UP can.

Oticon Chilli is the strongest so it works out that Phonak are the strongest aids out not Oticon.
 
there are other models, you know.... I'll have to try to find a note that my audi wrote.
