New to being Deaf

I'm also new to this site, just wanted to say Hi :) I'm female, married, live in the UK and am just looking for somebody to write to who understands. I have a cochlear implant on one side and am totally deaf on the other side. I had meningitius at the end of 2018 and was put into an induced coma, when they brought me round I suffered 2 mini strokes which left me week on my left side, 2 days later I became deaf. I came out of hospital unable to walk and unable to use my left hand and totally deaf. Since then I have slowly began to walk again and my left hand is now as strong as my right also I can hear enough to have a conversation,I am normally an outgoing and sociable person whose favourite pass time is having a laugh, but now I am finding myself getting more and more isolated.

Anyway, thats enough for now.
