Most FUBAR Book/Movie/Etc?

:bump:

So, no one knows of any FUBAR stuff?

I just thought of a few more... (these are live action movies)

- Crash (the 1996 film with James Spader)
- The Human Centipede
- Videodrome
- Donnie Darko

At the moment? I'd say it's Tavolta being considered for John Woo's The Killer remake. First off - I've never thought much of Travolta as an actor, he just seems to play things the same way, and his wig looks like Butch Patrick from The Munters.....secondly, I'm royally disappointed in Woo. I expect Hollywood to be incapable of original ideas, but for Woo to participate in in this farce - and in 3D no less, I'm beyond disgusted. Lastly, the actors in the original film were in their 30's - Travolta is going on 60, isn't he? So I guess my FUBAR moment is wondering why Hollywood can't pull themselves out of the toilet with something new instead of yet another 3D gimmick.

Clock Work orange and Eyes Wide Shut...yep way out there. Freddie Got Fingered was not just awful....it was FUBAR. So very very weird.

I read a book Skin Trade, least I think that was the name of it, Skin something, I'll have to try to look it up. That was horror, like whoa. Kind of Hills Have Eyes, you know a family isolated that inbreeds and gets all disfigured, canabalistic and crazy. Attacks a small group of people that were out in a cabin. That did not have a good ending either :(

Oh wow, I was totally off, no Skin in the title at all. Off Season http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/179734.Off_Season it was whacked if you like that kind of thing

Freddie Got Fingered was FUBAR for me... especially the parts with the broken leg, horse, and elephant.

Of course, this is to be expected from Tom Green. ;)

I remember when he did an interview with a chicken farmer. He kept asking the farmer about his chickens and roosters. "Do you ever stroke your cock? Ever choke your chicken?" Of course, the farmer nodded explaining how often he did it... not realizing Tom Green was actually referring to... err... umm... something else naughty. ;)

Eyes Wide Shut? We're not just speaking of explosives and asphalt ballets here? Hell, there are clues all over political news - some form of these events happen. "It isn't cheating until I get caught!" LOL

A couple that I can think of at this moment are...

Uzumaki (manga)
The Enigma of Amigara Fault (manga)

Okay, so I just finished this...wow, it was f'ed up but its good in a curious sort of way. :hmm:

Know of any more like that?

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. No matter how many times I've seen it, I still have no idea what the movie is about.

I can only think of recent ones. A f**ked up but great movie is Martyrs. A Serbian Film has a lot of sadistic murders, especially newborn porn, in it but the storyline is dull.

I got to agree with Eyes Wide Shut. Very trippy, disturbing and mind boggling, but yet so elegant and sexy at the same time.

Have to agree with you guys, even though I personally love weird movies and A Clockwork Orange is one of my favorites...

Personally, I have too much FUBAR choices to post..

The movie Event Horizon. I thought it was an ordinary sci-fi movie when I plucked it off the rental shelf. It is seriously twisted. Gave me nightmares.

Yeah, it was one of those movies where you're watching a calm moment... then suddenly, you see twisted nightmarish stuff... before going back to another calm moment. Makes you sit there thinking, "WTF was that!?"

Well, it was more the story. The ship itself was sort of possessed and there was no way to stop it or eliminate it. If you boarded the ship, you were a goner. If you came within sight of the ship, you were a goner. It got in your head and destroyed you from the inside out. That's especially twisted and nightmarish, because there's nothing you can do against that.

Other scary stories are, in my mind, not as scary, because there's always a locus, a source, of the bad stuff. Zombie movies, kill the zombies. Bad guys, kill the bad guys. Bad virus, find a cure. Etc, etc.

What do you do when "it" is in you, and you don't even know what it is? You just know you're done for? And done for in a particularly bad way?

Yeah, not my kind of movie. :Ohno:

I was terribly disappointed by the Green Lantern movie.
 the writing was so disjointed and the story was slow here, fast here... terrible.

The animation FLCL left me feeling FUBAR when I finished watching it.

A little FUBAR:
Bug
Kalifornia

Totally fucking FUBAR:
Silenced (Korean movie based on a true story about the abuse of Deaf children at this school in Mijun, Korea--OH MY GOD, TEARS!! Never watching this again, I just can't. It was so good, but sooo FUBAR!)
Stoic
The Experiment

FUBAR Animes:

Gantz
When They Cry
School Days

I know I've seen more crazy FUBAR movies because I actually seek out those mind fucky movies, but I can't think of all of them so far. Off the top of my head, those stand out.

Love all the anime fans on here, by the by. :D

I just rented Blue Velvet. We'll see how that goes. :)
Okay... watched Blue Velvet. Wasn't as FUBAR as I was expecting it to be. It was messed up a bit, but didn't quite end in a way that make me go "ICK!" or "WTF!?"

I've already seen the anime, Gantz. I'm waiting to watch the live action version.

I looked up the other two. Seems they're based on video games. I'm gonna see if I can get my hands on the anime and watch those. :)

Have you seen Paranoia Agent (anime) and Neon Genesis Evangelion (original one)?
