Man molests 'cute' schoolboy on morning train
KOBE -- A company worker who molested a schoolboy as they rode on a morning train in Hyogo Prefecture because he thought the boy "was cute," has been arrested, police said.
The worker, Yoshio Nishikawa, 58, an employee at a major life-insurance firm in Kobe, was arrested by railway police for violating a prefectural ordinance that forbids people from creating a public nuisance.
"He was a cute boy so I touched him," police quoted Nishikawa as saying. Police said Nishikawa told them he had touched the same boy about a week earlier.
Nishikawa molested the 17-year-old schoolboy as they were riding on a rapid train between Akashi and Sannomiya stations on the JR Sanyo Line at about 8:25 a.m. Monday, investigators said. He was immediately arrested by railway police officials after the incident.
Nishikawa was reportedly on his way to work at the time. (Mainichi Shimbun, April 21, 2003)
