Looking to make friends with Deafies in Austin

I'm moving to Austin in a few months, and I'm determined to make friends. Rather than spend days staring at the many Deaf residents that I saw when I checked out the apartments, too scared too talk to them (When I was a student at ACC, taking ASL 1, I froze up whenever I tried to talk to one Deaf student. I'm incredibly shy with other Hearies, and communicating in another language is even scarier), I'd rather make friends online, and if any are Deaf, then perhaps I can ease into the Deaf community slowly, as opposed to jumping in or, more likely, being unable to touch the water.

I like video games, table top games like DnD, mushrooms, chocolate, books, reading and language, fantasy, sci-fi, aliens, adult entertainment, anime and manga, comic books, and science. I'm also very good at English. I'm 21 years old, a straight female, and get along better with guys than girls.

Hopefully, I'll find someone to hang out with from Austin on here! I hope so.
