Living near deaf school or college

What are the benefits of living near a deaf school or college? Do you think there is more awareness? Do you think it's easier to find employment in areas with a deaf school or college/university nearby? I was curious about this. Wish there were deaf towns in each state for that purpose. lol. I think of the communities like Hispanic communities and china town, so why not? I know about the story of Martha's Vineyard where deafness was normal and common. Would like to see what that was like. There is a reason why people moved away for jobs or family reasons.
