Labyrinthectomy

Has anybody had this done? My Ent suggested this for me as i have had chronic vertigo. My left ear has profound loss so we wouldn't have to worry about losing any hearing. basically what they would do is remove the vestibular system (balance center) in that ear. I would like to talk to anybody who has had this done as I have a lot of questions about it.

Have you tried googling it? I have never had this procedure done before so I couldn't answer any questions
 
Yes I have googled it. I understand exactly what it is and what they will do, I am trying to find somebody that has had it done before to get a good feel for the recovery and how bad it was after the surgery. Thank you for your response and suggestion.
