Hi, everyone!

I've been wondering. Is the ILY sign :)ily:) used in countries where ASL didn't reach? It is used here in Jamaica, and the Deaf here use Jamaican Sign Language, a sign language similar to/descended from ASL. I don't have much exposure to sign languages other than JSL and ASL, so I thought I'd ask.

From what I've seen, Japanese sign language is way different (which isn't surprising), a friend of mine signed "I love you" to me in Japanese sign language, but it looked like "You have a funny beard" I don't know how accurate her signing was, but I thought it was really interesting.
