My iPad has gone onto American setting how I get it back to Apple English one.i somehow got iCloud email address instead of Google one.What did I do.my son things it that making it slow and he say sound is bad

Go to settings>general>language & region and select United Kingdom.

For mail issues check mail and go back to Mailboxes. See if your old email is listed. If so go to settings>mail,contacts, calendar>Default Account under signature. And select the right account. If not listed add it again. There are plenty tutorials on the web for adding email.
