No, you are just unable to answer, period.
Otherwise, you'd already do. because if you had the precious time to type the above you'd just as well type the answer,
is as simple an' logical as that.

Fuzzy.

Being I'm a specialist on this. Yes.
They run up the downspouts and chew through the facia into the attic space. I worked Vector Control and we treated for Rats and Mosquitoes.
But you already knew that didn't you.

Guess you wouldn't know about having a life, or potty breaks or well, never mind, back to what I was doing. Have fun jabbering for a few more hours.

Thanks, this indeed I knew but what I am mainly interested what happens if the house have office like ceiling tiles?
And is there really a difference between a river rat vs roof rat? do River rats really live in the attic?

My Christmas wish list: Fuzzy and Sono Kissing in a Tree...

We'll I'm home now from the hospital. My mother is still there with my father watching over her. They've admitted her the ICU with pneumonia and very low sodium so she'll be there over night. We're all anxious and nervous at this point....

rats are rats really. They build nests and pee every 15 minutes. On drop ceilings they can destroy them by chewing holes, building heavy nests and the urine will eventually soak through and stain them also weakening them, they can look fine and suddenly collapse, they will also chew wires and short/start fires. Also, rats can chew through concrete and also steel, so they can destroy and burrow into anything. Rats travel mainly around the walls, rarely out into the open areas and they will only go about 100 feet radius from their nest, once they do seek it is memorized and they can actually run the same pattern blind. They usually nest close to a food source so it would be within that radius ( kitchen, storage area, shed, ) anywhere theres food source. So when putting traps out, keep them along the walls in their path or the bait blocks in their path along the walls. The bait blocks cause internal bleeding and they die a slow agonizing death, if they die in the walls, attic, crawl space...well, just so you know, they stink.

I hope she pulls thru this setback OK.

OMG Sono :eek2: :ohno:

My daughter rents a suite that is an addition to the main construction so it has its own roof with very thick insulation and inside
an office type tiled roof. the exterminators insist the rats on the account of the insulation should not be able to get into apartment
but I dunno. she can hear the rats scraping very clearly and loudly sometimes, so what the heck are they scraping on?

they will tear up wood, foil, anything including fiberglass insulation to build a nest. They will knaw holes through concrete and steel to get to food sources ( including main stacks to get into sewers and will come up through the toilets if they have to. They are very destructive.
