Hi there! I'm learning ASL right now and I have an assigment to write a research paper. My topic to cover is assistive devices. I was wondering if you all could help me find some and history of them. Right now I know of the TTY, video phones, vibrating watches, vibrating alarms for under you pillow, flashing lights for door bell and fire alarm, and TTY caller id. However I don't know any history on them who invented them where I can find more information. So if you have any links or any general knowledge I would greatly appreciate. THANKS!!!

p.s. I love sign language!

You could also research the Sidekick and compare that to the more common cell phones.

Also any search on Yahoo or Google might prove helpful. :) I wish you luck on your paper. :)
