Hearing aids pimped again!

I can see the different colors on the website, but at the moment I don't have an extra $1,500 hanging around, so tape will work just fine. Besides with tape I can change it up

I don't know. You may be right but the audiologist said something about not being able to do it. Oh well. Next pair I guess. I had one years ago talk me out of it... "what if you get bored of it?" (I'm already bored with beige!) and "it's not professional looking" (So? most people don't even notice).

If I can ever either win the lottery or get a job will save up and see about switching out for colors- course by that time I may need new ones anyway lol.

Yeah, I don't think anybody notices mine either. And professional or not? Pllltttt.

I wish I could get colorful hearing aids but seems Oticon is now focusing the colors towards pediatric rather than across the spectrum from kids to adults :(.

Stuck with beige because VR no doubt won't pay for fancier colors.

Do you must be sticking with Oticon, then? Other brands have so many exciting colors for adults. Siemens for example.
I don't know who sells these Siemens beauties - probably not available in USA or Can, as I saw them on Google in foreign language, tried to go directly to the website but the page won't load

I've had other brands but it seems I do best with Oticons with the type of loss I have and always the most powerful at the time I get them. I max 'em out lol.

I am trading in for some resounds in blue with my green and blue ear molds can't wait super happy :)

I picked out black and teal color ear molds. I didn't know teal is an
in 'color' . I am seeing it a lot on ads on TV . I wanted red or orange HA this time.

teal and black??

I couldn't find exactly in those colors earmolds but I found ...??.. something lolol

ohhh, Etsy earplugs!

I think your earmolds will be super cool!

Then I went to check what would come up under the key words: super - ultra - thin - black - teal - skin - decal - case -
- laptop - cellular phone
etc etc
and a number of stuff popped up.
most popular item were cell skins. then keyboard stuff, then laptop decals, watches skins
this look nice

and this is promising

this is ultra thin mouse protector
http://i00.i.aliimg.com/wsphoto/v0/...e-Soft-Skin-Protector-For-Mac.jpg_220x220.jpg

there is tons of stuff you may browse over.
the only question is - is it thin enough? to look nice on the sides of the HA, and will it stick?
if not, could it be glued on, if yes, what kind of glue would not damage the HA and be easily removed for a quick change?

Also, could you possibly ask your supplier if they do customized skins as the Phonak does?
if they don't, I think you may still order some pretty contrasting color designs from Phonak - after all they probably anyway
make them 'fit to shape' as they match them to all kinds of their own HAs, - and you put it on your own Oticon HAs!

btw, I was looking carefully what are these skins made of. looks like it's some kind of a vinyl? latex? window sticky, only waaay thinner.
maybe some crafty person can figure out how these could be home made?
or, it occurred to me also, perhaps temporary tatts would work?
or whatever - you guys would know best what would work, too!

... and then, I had a lightbulb moment and found that :D

My hearing aids will be all black and my ear molds will be all teal , I asked for turquoise and my audi wrote it as teal .

My HA is black too. I thought it best to match hair colour instead of skin tone.

I didn't want my HA to match my hair or skin color , I wanted a red or orange one so people could see it better plus I wanted a fun color .
I have brown hair that is turning white , the HA I got came in boring colors my last one was purple with purple ear mold. I should had put it on for
Prince. :(

My hair is platinum blonde, currently :) before it was all kinds of fiery red )

When I got my new Resound Enzo's I got silver. That was a first for me - to go with something other than Boring Beige (really, that color should be named that! ) I love the silver look.

I was so glad they had colors (and a lot more than they do today) when I got my first BTEs back in 2008. That "skin tone" gags me.

I agree. it's good they have colors now to choose from.
the makers of HA still think most people wants their aids invisible, and, most do unfortunately.
most hearing, in any case. but it's shifting, thankfully.
I was very nervous at first when I switched to black, now I love it!!! what's not to love! :D

Yeah a lot of people never wore a HA don't want people to know they have one on and part of this from the ads you see on
TV. They keep saying their hearing is so small no one will know you're wearing it ! It made is sound like you should embarrassed
about not being able to hear and you need to hide it from everyone ! :pissed: I am not embarrassed about wearing a pretty color HA that people can see...
Maybe I should try to find tiny wolves stickers to put on my HA. I was very disappointed that I still can't wear a HA in my right ear . It's still damage from
the blow I had to my temple . :( I was told by an audi that she heard of people getting hit on their temple really hard and not being able to wear a HA anymore.

My new hearing aids are all black and my new ear molds are all teal . I made an
OOPS !

why aren't you able to wear HA anymore? is you ear misshapen, or..?
I am sorry about that, in any case.

Yes my right got misshapen by the accident I was in . The blow to my temple was so hard it did something to my right ear and it's too painful
to wear a HA in anymore . The impact was so hard when my car got T boned that both of my HA came out and landed on the backseat floor of my car.
When I came through at ER I couldn't and thought I lost the little hearing I had then I felt my ears and my HA were missing.

My gosh!! :cuddle:
How about CI in that ear? from what I see in the pictures, you don't have to wear an earmold, just BTE part?
