Oops...sorry. Guess that would make sense!
Here are the questions on the survey:

1. Are you satisfied with your hearing aids? Very satisfied...they run out of battery a bit faster then my old hearing aid but more power means more chaning the batter so ah well!

2. If not, why?

3. Do you wear hearing aids every day? Yes I wear them everyday
4. How many places did you shop before choosing a hearing aid? two hearing aid centres the 2nd one being the one i went with and my new audiologist is great!
5. What was the most important reason for choosing the hearing aid you purchased?

a. price= pretty expensive
b. brand=phonak versata p behind the ear hearing aids
c. reputation of the place where it was purchased= my hearing aid centre is great! it's the Advanced Hearing Aid clinic in ottawa, on and they are fantastic there! Including audiologists that are fluent in ASL
d. size of the hearing aid=I wear bte (behind the ear) aids so they are mostly the same size for the most part.

i think a and c were the most important ...i already knew what brand i wanted and i knew it was going to be a bte so size is not that much diff in behind the ear aids (bte).

6. Do you believe you will eventually get a different hearing aid? Eventually when these aids stop working then yes...until then no unless my hearing decreases and the need for a new one even if it's not broken arises

hope that helps:)

Here are the questions on the survey:

1. Are you satisfied with your hearing aids?
Of course otherwise I wouldn't wear them

2. If not, why?

3. Do you wear hearing aids every day?
An average of 2 hours a day, my hearing loss is so great it's pointless to wear them all day. I read lips as my speech perception is like 20%

4. How many places did you shop before choosing a hearing aid?
one

5. What was the most important reason for choosing the hearing aid you purchased?
I like that audiologist, he's an expert and I got a good price

a. price paid below the $3000 retail price per aid.
b. brand Phonak Naida V UP(the best)
c. reputation of the place where it was purchased Great!
d. size of the hearing aid a third larger than my old one

6. Do you believe you will eventually get a different hearing aid?
Im not sure if they can make a stronger HA, at least not without damaging the ear and/or it being painful. I might stick with my HA for the 10 years till a cure is developed.

So, you go to USU? interesting. Have you lived in Utah your entire life or did you come to USU from out of state? I love Logan, its a nice little city, but way too cold in winter months for me.

thanks, guys, for all the info!! i was a little worried i wouldn't get my assignment done since I don't know anyone that wears HA. I really appreciate the participation :)
& to answer the question about living in Utah...I actually live in Houston. I attend USU through their distance education program. so much more convenient than having to show up for classes so many times a week. but sometimes it's hard to stay motivated keeping up with the work on your own time.
