I know this is silly but I got excited the other day when Adam was watching "Handy Manny" on the Disney channel and there was an episode about a gentleman who was deaf!!

His wife had to explain to everyone he wasn't ignoring them like they thought he was. And this was the coolest part to me, she explained that he understood and appreciated everything they were doing for him-- he just couldn't hear them!! Then she taught Manny and 'the Tools' the sign for Thank you and You're Welcome (he used some other signs too)... later at the end of the show there were a couple of signs used as well...

I guess as a mom to a deaf/hoh toddler who watches this DAILY-- it really thrilled me to see this... especially on a show that prides itself on diversity~

Don't know if any one else has seen this episode or has little ones that like Handy Manny but it's called "Tool Talk" and I think you can find it on the Disney Channel Website.
