When teaching children with hearing impairment, it is important to preserve their vision, as without possibility to hear, they acquire information only through their eyes. This requires modern vision-safe monitors. If a child’s hearing is partially impaired, it is necessary to use high-quality devices for sound enhancement in order to develop rudimentary auditory sense.
In our country, deaf people have difficulties with employment. Mainly they have to do manual labor for low pay. But if at school they manage to master the computer, in future they would be able to become web designers or system administrators, despite the hearing impairment.
Unfortunately, our school does not have high-quality computer equipment that can ensure comprehensive and health saving teaching of deaf children. Our school has no funds to buy such equipment. But we hope that together we can provide a future worth living for the hearing-impaired children.
