hi everyone,

A little background information on me:

-Diagnosed with mild hearing loss as a teenager.
-hearing dropped significantly.
-currently diagnosed with profound to severe hearing loss
- got a new resound hearing aid to better hear (BUT)
- can hear one to one and in groups (to a certain extent AND only if quiet settings.)
- I can’t hear phone clearly, bits and pieces of conversations only. (With iPhone/resound hearing connected)
- I’m on waiting list for cochlear implant. Expected to get it 2018 (ish)

So, could y’all help me by giving feedback on life before/after implant?

Also any advise for me?
I know I NEED an implant to better hear etc. but I feel overwhelmed and would appreciate any info/feedback on your own hearing loss/implant journey.

Note: I’m not American, or living in America if that makes any difference.

What exactly would you like to know specifically in regards to before and after?

Hearing quality or ?? Everyone’s experience will be different. Mine was exponentially successful however a friend to whom just went through surgery has been having a lot of difficulties.
