Females in central Ohio (and those outside of the area) who want to be involved in a full contact womens football team (season in spring to summer 2017) should plan to come to one of the upcoming mini-camp and tryout dates.
The team is Columbus Comets (www.columbuscomets.org). Tryouts are on Saturday mornings starting at 9:45 a.m. at Northland High School Columbus Ohio. The next date is Saturday, October 8, 2016.
Players do not have to have football experience, but most have some former athletic experience (that is not needed either). Players have to be 18 by the start of the season (and there have been some really good 40-55 year old players on the team also.
While it is not required prospective players should go to the Comets home page (www.columbuscomets.org) and register. There are coaches that know sign language.
