Some member here put a gross video here. Can we have a spoiler warning before they look at that post?

It would be more common courtesy to post up a warning in the post... or let the mods know to put the graphic content warning on the title of the thread for late postings.

Mods took it down. It was a video showing CI surgery. Very gross to watch.

Why would you need a warning about any kind of surgery video? Surgery by it's nature is usually visually "gross."

If the topic subject is "gross" (surgery, beheading, fiery fatality, etc.), I just don't click on the video.

I can see posting a warning if the video has unexpected graphic images that aren't evident from the topic title. Like, if the topic was "cute puppies" and the video shows puppies being tortured, I would expect a warning for that.

I thought "spoiler" meant a post where plot information from a book, movie, or TV show was given away. It "spoils" the surprise.

A "graphic warning" and a "spoiler alert" are not the same thing.

Now why would a CI surgery video be offensive? wow... i know I posted one awhile back but dont remember if here of Facebook.... but really, wouldnt you like to know what they actually do? I actually look up every surgery I have done just so i know whats going on.
Beside, like Reba stated, you know certain videos are going to have a certain amount of "gore" "graphic" contents.... not like its a Porno.

I watched the news yesterday and they showed some ass throwing a poor dog over a fence ! I thought that was very disturbing and wish there was
a warning so people could looked the other way if they wanted to .

I just watched a video of a muslum stranger sitting and watching some little kids play, he gets up goes over, knocks the little kid down ( maybe 3 or 4 years old) picks him up by his feet and swings him over his shoulder ind into the ground like a ball bat, kid slamming the ground head first followed by full body and the guy runs off, kid has severe brain damage and not expected to live. Guy is still wanted....WTF was that about???

And it was in a thread it didn't need to be in.

do i dare to ask, who posted it?

"gross" as a term is relative. Some people can't stomach surgery type videos/photos even if others feel that it isn't gross.

I'm surprised there isn't a "spoiler" button on the reply (quick or advanced) to hide the video- I know of a few forums that has that feature to hide answers or hints (for games or online riddles) or even to hide very large pictures (hidden pics cause less of a strain when a user then loads the thread on their machine).

Might be something for Alex to think about - enable that feature- I know one is included- there is a second type that is an 'added module/hack'.

It was in the "I turned deaf when I was 37" thread. I didn't ask the Mods to remove it, but I'm glad they did.

 ^^^^ I understand how you feel. And That is OK. I know you dislikes seeing the type of gruesome stuff. Me too but i still want to see it anyway. Me  Look like i need to be around AD a little MORE so i would not miss out of it!
