A general money-saving hint right now: Border's is having huge, huge sales to get rid of all their inventory. They have some books about deaf culture, deaf parenting, and other topics of interest. Might be worth looking on their website first for any title you're interested in.

When the Phone Rings, My Bed Shakes is a good one. I really liked reading that one.

Deaf Heritage by Jack Gannon. Love that book, so full of history of deafness, Gallaudet, ASL, AGBell, etc.

Her correct name is Marlee Matlin. Just goggle it. Hope that help you find a book that you want to read.
