Beginner Sign Class in southern NJ

Thought I'd pass this along for my friend Nancy. She will be teaching the class.

for sign language class!!!

In this beginner sign language class you will learn Deaf culture, the manual alphabet, fingerspelling, basic vocabulary and simple conversational sentences.

Learning sign language is a great endeavor! There are many deaf in your local communities, there are many deaf students in our local schools. You never know when you may meet a deaf person! It is such a wonderful feeling when you can communicate with them. The deaf will greatly appreciate that you have taken the time to learn about their culture and language and be able to communicate with them.

CLASS: Beginner Sign Language
TIME: January 12 – February 23 (7 weeks)
6:30-8:00
COST: $35 (checks made payable to: Nancy Palmer)
LOCATION: 6183 Sterling Ave, Mays Landing

You never know when you may meet a deaf person! It is such a wonderful feeling when you can communicate with them.

That sounds like something out of a terrible travel brochure! :rofl2:

But I hope your friend has a successful class.
 
(She really needs more than a beginner class. She does really well. She is at best guess probably second year level.)

Are you taking this class Lauren, or just passing along the info? You are too advanced for this beginners class. Never hurts though.
