Backwards compatibility: cochlear implants

I've been doing bunch of researches on backward compatibility from the two brands, AB and MedEl. Does any one knows whether Advanced Bionics offers backward compatibility for all of their devices now? Due to their history not being able to offer backward compatibility to their older devices although I read that it's upgradable.. AB's website seem to be vague about that so I'm not entirely sure. My surgery is in a few weeks from now so I want to be fully informed before selecting the manufacturer to go with. Thanks for your help!

For AB: those using the original internal devices (from 80s/90s) cannot use newer processors beyond the Harmony. As long as one has one of the current internal implants available, they should be good to go for a long time.
