Any Naturists Here?

Ummmmmmmmm I have to think about it...ummmmmmm Should I accept your apology? Ummmmmm Ok! Apology accepted! :giggle:

Yea, I think my daughter and her friends are way too young to worry about their weight but then again, there is an epidemic with childhood obesity so maybe the kids are hearing about that too. At least my daughter is not obsessed with it..just a couple of comments here and there but I am keeping an eye out for any issues with appearance.

Sorry to go off topic.

BACK TO TOPIC! :)

Actually, am glad you wrote back because I just thought of something. Years ago, the female host on Good Morning America, Joan Lunden, had the editor of Cosmopolitan Magazine on the program. They were discussing how thin the models were and it was said and repeated that these pictures are NOT real. No one looks like that, only in their dreams! This is called "editing" and it is done when the pictures are being looked at. They use a razor blade to trim off the fat on the models; today, they'd do it electronically, just like the music people listen to (no, none of the singers, men and women, actually sound like that).

The same applies to porn magazines such as Playboy and Playgirl: These people don't actually look like that.

Yea I have read of magazines and photographers doing that. Did u see the picture of Jamie Lee Curtis baring it all without any editing? I was like :eek3: but applauded her for being so brave. Heck, she didnt even look too bad considering she was almost 50 at the time.

I created this thread the same as you at 2 years ago.

http://www.alldeaf.com/parenting/17113-normal.html

I see it's quite active, which is good. A good discussion like this does wonders and helps ignorant people (such as Reba) get educated as to what is proper and appropriate vs. what is not proper and appropriate. Reba had mentioned this on your thread on the first page and elaborated on post #81:

Not everything that is "normal" or "natural" or "common" is always good in every circumstance, with every individual. Just because a behavior is "natural" doesn't mean it should be done or encouraged. There has to be a better reason than just because some people call it "normal."

Some shame is beneficial. It prevents people from repeating bad behaviors. That's a big problem with kids' bad behavior now. No one is ashamed of anything. No one is embarrassed when they are punished for wrong doing.

People should have feelings of modesty and humility. Why is it necessary to let everything (literally and figuratively) all hang out? What's wrong with a little mystery and privacy?
There are several things that come to mind on this one. Let me ask this: Suppose two women (or two men) are walking down the sidewalk and the weather is hot, but not too hot. One has only sandals on (walking nude), the other one has a two or one piece swim suit on (or, maybe boxer swimsuit for the man). You notice them. Which one will catch your eye faster? The one who has the swimsuit on. Why? The "mystery" that Reba talked about. You can stand there and undress him (or her) with your eyes. With the nudity already there, there's no imagination, because, as Reba said, "everything is hanging out." In other words, sex sells . . . nudity doesn't.

As for "shame," there is only one place for that, which is called repentance before God and accepting salvation. Shame, as in, "God, I'm ashamed of my sins . . . " Again, there is a difference between the two. Reba mentioned "shame" and "embarrassment" which are two different actions.

Now, let's cover another issue associated with this. You all know that I do nude modeling for art classes. Let's discuss what is appropriate and what is not. There are clubs all over the country that do nude art drawing and they all know the rules. The #1 rule is no inappropriate conversations with or directed toward the model. That means, "Hey, you look hot!" probably isn't appropriate. But, "you pose beautifully" or "you look beautiful!" are appropriate . . . provided the one saying it isn't looking at the female models chest or the man's groin area. In addition to all of that, there are rules for the model. They are not to be in the mode of sexual excitement or make any comments of the sort to the artists. The model needs to realize and not take the wrong way, that they are just another nude body to draw or paint for the artists. I've been told this and it helps keep the experience humbling.

If you've seen the movie "Titanic" there is a nude scene which the female is drawn nude and her boyfriend takes it the wrong way when he discovers the pictures in their safe on the ship. If you haven't seen this movie, go rent it. This is one of many influences for me to do nude modeling.

Last thing to discuss: I noticed, Liebling:))), in your thread, that some of the people tell their kids the slang name for body parts when the child asks. I'm sorry, can you please look up the word, "boobie" in the dictionary and give me the definition? Since you can't, look up the word, "Breast." Same with the men. Medical doctors refer to body parts by their proper name, as they should. What sounds better: "Ma'am, you've got tit cancer" or "Ma'am, you've got breast cancer?" Same with the men, "Sir, you've got testicular cancer" instead of "Sir, your balls are full of cancer." Enough said.

Not aware of this one, but she's quite a beauty anyway. The picture wouldn't "turn me on." Heh, porn doesn't even do that (yeah, I'm a heck of a boring guy). ;)

She wore a sports bra and bicycle shorts...not naked. :)

I was wondering if anyone here are naturists? If so, how often do you go clothes free?

Hey Pek,

I am around home in the morning hours, or in the evening..

A friend of mine talks about this this nude beach over in WI. I don't recall where, some where near Madison. Someday we'll go down.

For those who were looking for locations.

Naturist/nudist organizations, clubs, camps, resorts, beaches & other locations
• Locations - U.S.
• Locations - Canada
• Locations - World
Nudist Explorer - The Nudist Search Engine

That's cool, Sunshine1! I was aware of the places, some of the clubs are, from what I've been told, are very strict, not to mention the questioning single guys get and couples don't.

Hey Mayguy!

I know where to go nude in Rochester . . . as I used to live there. I also used to drive a bus for Rochester City Lines. Hey, if you want to get together sometime, drop me a pm. I still have friends in that town and do visit from time to time.

the site itself is a porn site.. and because nudity is considered porn, it was put on that site. that's why. Even if you're a nudist or naturist, putting videos of naked people is still considered porn. I don't know why.

Cool, I sent you a PM.

These deaf friends?

I always walk around naked in my own apt with blinds shut. I tend to go to Gunnison Beach when weather becomes so hot where naked people are around. I only take my top off to swim into an ocean. Not that many Deafies around there so far I've seen.

Where's Gunnison Beach?

I'm sorry, but the first place I look at on a woman is NOT the bust line, the tummy line or the butt. I value women that feel good about themselves and, when I see it, regardless of them being clothed or not, it shows.

Bless you.

My husband and I are only naturists with each other. Thats it.
We belive whats mine is mine and whats his is mine.... No I mean
whats mine is his and whats his is mine. Yeah thats it!

But Shel if ya want to know what ewwww! really is, trying having
7 babies. My stomach gave up after number 3. And the flab
is now hormonally glued on. I'm working on it though. I'm not
after any particular shape, just dropping 40 pounds to ease
my poor acheing back. And of course to practice more naturisum
with my hubby without hurting my back.:giggle: I only wish
it would leave my tummy area BEFORE it leaves my chest!

Pek1,

You may want to check out Hedonism II, a resort in Negril Jamaica. It's a clothing optional resort. People there are very friendly. I went there three years ago and had a blast.

PM me if you want to.

I dont know if u are a guy or a girl but my 2nd pregnancy totally changed my body dramatically. it was like a reverse of extreme body makeover for me..yes worth it for my son but the same time, I have my days when I really get pissed off cuz I spent 6 or 7 years with a personal trainer to get the body that I wanted only to have it totally changed in a short time. Men dont really have to worry about such a drastic change in a short time? Maybe, I am not meant to be tiny and firm since the women in my mom's family are big and not toned. I seriously need to get myself mentally and physically back into my old work out program and see what happens. Maybe, I am making excuses but the motivation is not there like it was..

My husband never wears underwear...I mean he HAS no underwear..and he would go to work without clothes if he can get away with it. :giggle:

Let me tell you something....I think you're thinking negative and making yourself low. I suggest you to think positive and accept who you are and not try to look hot for everyone. We age and we change and we have to accept it.
