Over the past few years, getting a tattoo has gone from "Why'd you do it? That causes cancer!" or "That is blasphemous!"to "Oh, That's so cool! I want one."

Sometimes because you will be in awe of the amazing creativity and other times because you’ll hear this voice in your head saying: “Why for the love of god, WHY?” Either way, there is no denying that these 3D tattoos are a wonderful display of Art.

A tattoo is basically body art done with the help of permanent inks and needles designed specifically for the purpose. Tattoos have been around for ages, only the techniques used were different for different cultures across the world.

The late 19th century saw the tattoo become somewhat of a taboo in the modern world as 'civilized people' considered it a very primitive and backward ordeal. But in the past few decades, the tattoo has become more socially acceptable.

Earlier, tattoos were considered to be harmful to the body as the inks used were hazardous, although, with the advancement in technology, the inks used today are completely organic and totally harmless.

Hence, the tattoo industry is on a rise as more and more people are opting for a tattoo from all walks of life and no longer is the tattoo affiliated only with gang members, soldiers or drug addicts (Earlier social belief).

The difference between 2d and 3d is that two dimensional forms, as the name suggests, are drawings that have two dimensions; height and width. 3-D is a term used to describe art and animation that uses a third dimension; depth.
Depth can also mean the distance of perception.

Contrary to two dimensional,'flat' tattoos, three dimensional tattoos give a sense of 'depth' as if the tattoos are real, life-like objects placed on the body, but in actuality are nothing but drawings that have three dimensions.

Ultra-violet 3-d tattoos

3d_tattoos_17.jpg

Blacklight Tattoos or Ultraviolet tattoos are done with a special ink that makes them invisible in normal light but come to the fore once viewed under UV light/Blacklight. These new tattoos are also gaining popularity.

Although the tattoos are sometimes considered invisible in normal light, scarring from the tattoo machine in the application process may remain, and therefore still show.

A UV tattoo becomes visible under blacklight, when it glows in colors ranging from white to purple, depending on the ink chosen. Colored ink is also available, where the ink is visible in normal light (as with a regular tattoo) but the ink will glow vividly under UV light. However, some UV inks are not as bright under normal light as normal tattoo ink and are considered not as vibrant.

:jaw: Wow! I really likes glowing with black light with tattoo. At least I don't like the ugly dark and scary tattoo. I'm still want to get a tattoo of butterfly, memories of my dad with flame guitar and libra and zodiac Chinese with symbol.

As soon as I heal up from my next and last neurosurgery, I'm going to get a tattoo over the 7 inch scar I have that goes from my neck down my back. I have two more scars from the surgery but they are further down. It's been two surgeries in the exact same place, exact same skin, and there's a huge gap now where my muscles have been separated and they never came back together. The scar is a finger wide and I can stick my finger between my muscles. I plan to tattoo the shit out of that once it's all done, I'll probably get some plastic surgery scar revision first to make it smaller though.

The tattoo is going to be a 3 d one, I"m just finalizing out the details.
