I have Amazon Prime and watched this movie last night. The movie was not what I would consider "stellar" but the story certainly was. It was based on the true story of Harold Dixon, Tony Pastula and Gene Aldrich. A WWII Pilot, radioman and bombardier.

What an INCREDIBLE story!!! The plane they were on, in the middle of the Pacific in 1942, wandered off course and they ran out of fuel. The pilot had to make a landing on the Pacific. The only supplies they had were their clothes, what were in their pockets, and a 4x8 rubber raft. They had no food or water, as all their equipment and supplies sank with the plane.

They survived at sea for 34 days

The Pilot was awarded the Navy Cross for how he handled this, and how he was able to get his crew to safety - you just have to watch the movie to see how they did it.
