From what I understand, he was still sentenced to life in prison with no parole. (From his earlier conviction.) Sad choices some people make.

I think he did that because he want all of his $$$ goes to his own daughter instead of Odin (the one who he murdered)'s family. It was smart move by him. He saved a lot of taxpayer's money.

It looks like Aaron Hernandez executed himself to death because he won't receive a death penalty in Massachusetts.

I don't know what money he has but some life insurance policies won't pay out if it's suicide.

I wonder if CTE had anything to do with it but wouldn't know unless an autopsy is done and brain examined...
