I remember someone telling me that when you finger spell "258" it means something. I can't remember what it was though. I think it was one of those words that have multiple meanings like "Wow, no way, that's unusual, I can't believe it, etc..." but I'm not sure if that's right or not.

Does anyone in here know? I'm sure it's slang and it may not be known everywhere.

Well I find it 258... I learned something new today.

Fingerspelling it makes total sense. :)

2 - as you fingerspell "V" and merge it with sign language for "very"
5 - As you are about to sign "5" then merge "interesting" (that would be "8" - look #3)
8 - as you sign "interesting" with "8" fingerspell at end.

(sorry no image) - very - 2

258 - is very shortcut for "very interesting" in ASL.

Grrrr you stole my post! Yes, 258 sign for "very interesting"

Thanks everyone. I was close in what I thought it meant but not quite.

Thanks again.

I mentioned this on deafvideo.tv comment to one of the canadian gal, who I corrected with 258 instead of 248.
