Agreed. I look around when I am out walking my dog, partly because I don't hear well. It keeps me aware of my surroundings. Also, I am a curious person. I like to see how people do things with their homes, such as decorations, plants and landscaping, etc. It gives me ideas for my home to see the things that are done. I don't look inside the window intentionally. However, people need to visualize walking in the dark. Someone has their window curtains open, and the lights are on. How can people say that I am supposed to stare at the dark street? It is human nature to look at the lighted window, especially if there is movement.

I like privacy. I don't have any desire to display what I'm doing to other people.

I do take showers and get dressed for work at 5:30 a.m., and prefer not to show off for the person delivering my newspaper, or the kids waiting for the school bus.

he was naked in his kitchen, brewing some coffee and that's where they saw him. I doubt you walked around naked in your kitchen so that's the issue.

Closing your curtain in your own bedroom makes sense cuz there's a lot of privacy thing going on in there but living room? kitchen? c'mon...... it was just wrong place at the wrong time.

We spend time in our living room and kitchen at night, so of course we close the curtains at night.

but still not naked. lot of people here at high-rise in NYC do not have curtains or they rarely close the curtains. we can pretty much see the activity going on in there (not always but still)

High rise is still not sidewalk level. People aren't walking past the upper levels of a high rise. They aren't using binoculars.

it's quite visible with naked eyes since high-rise are only one block apart. Some condos are shaped like C so the people living inside C-shape can see each other easily as well. Most do not close their shades or have shades. I just came back from expensive high-rise condo in mid-town Manhattan owned by a doctor. There's not a single shade in his place. When I looked out, I see plenty of New Yorkers resting in their humble abodes, doing whatever they're doing. I guess to each their own.......

using binocular to look.... well that would be "Peeping Tom" which is a criminal offense.

plus - some people do not like to close curtain at night because of fear of dark. I like to sleep with curtain off... evening light (moon)... so pretty.

I sleep with the curtains open because I prefer natural sunrise to wake me up; for some reason, flashing lights doesn't wake me up and oftentimes, my clock get unplugged because of some incident such as me trashing around at night, or I forget to put the ferret away and he pulled it out of the wall.

Of course, I am not usually naked when I am sleeping, and I am in a 4th floor apartment. When I used to live in a streetlevel place, I used to sleep in the room facing the backyard because I didn't want people peering into the house, and the one closest to the backyard was private. Reason why? It was a shady area with high crime.

It's wrong to trespass his property. That woman knows better NOT to cross on his property if, he was naked in his house. Mind her own business and walk away, leavin' him some privacy since this was HIS house, not hers. It doesn't make sense for someone to call the cops on him just for bein' naked in HIS house. I think it is ridiculous.

Maybe, that man should build his own fence around his yard and put up a sign that says, " Do NOT trespassin'." How about that ?

If it was a man, and the woman was getting coffee... HE would be the one arrested for Peeping...

If he gets convicted, this invites pervs from all over to start voyeurism and claim... the pervert to be the victim.

I want to be the judge so bad in this case... I would love to have a few questions answered?

What were you doing in his yard?
Why were you looking in his house?

Yea, talkin' about "common sense" some people don't have any nowdays. I am more concerned about "feelings" they care about rather than "rights to privacy". I care about the "rights to privacy" than "feelings". Talkin' about "respect" ~ that woman don't have any respect to HIS "rights to privacy".

It would depend if the facts fit the situation as per that state's laws. I don't know what those would be.

I'm guessing that a peeping Tom wouldn't normally take his child with him, nor would he report his own activity to the police.

Yeah....it just seems some people don't know where to draw the line when it comes to common decency. I admit, several times I've forgotten to close my blinds when getting ready for bed, but it was accidental....If I was purposely undressing or walking around in the nude, no matter what time it was, it's like I was asking for the whole neighborhood to take a look! There are nude beaches, why not use those? And nudist camps too.....
