Man Deposits $200 w/Pot & Cocaine at the Bank

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Authorities said a man using the drive-through at a Tallahassee bank deposited $200 and a small bag containing marijuana and cocaine. Police said an employee at the Wachovia Bank called police Wednesday after the unusual deposit. An officer arrested a 38-year-old man and found the remnants of three marijuana cigarettes inside his vehicle.

The man was charged with drug possession and later released on $3,000 bail.

It's not clear why the man included the drugs with his deposit.

He probably was high when he made the deposit.
 
Sheesh. I saw the thread topic and was thinking he got busted for putting it his safety deposit box.

He might have thought it would provide safety to his secret stash only to find out that his life is unsafe.

Guess he thought the bank would be a lot safer than hiding it in his mattress....my guess this guy was literally "climbing the walls" and drugged up to do something this stupid. And to think he was driving a vehicle!....I can vision the teller at the window...."Sir, you need to fill out a deposit slip for ur stash"....or "you need to come inside with ur bags of stash and rent out a safety deposit box...."

Yeah, That is what I was also thinking too.

I mean, If he wasn't high - he would have known not to do that but then again, I could be wrong. It could also be just some random guy who happens to blow off his common sense? :dunno:

Either the guy was really idiotic, or he was depositing it in a safety deposit box? Like Babyblue said, I have heard of a safety deposit box rental at the bank where you can rent your own box in the back, store your stuff inside of it.

I think articles of importance like jewelery, documents and etcs are usually stored there in a private room where you put your stuff in, then they take it and put it in the main room.

Maybe someone snagged a peek at his box if that's the case?
But, the $200 deposit hints to me that it could have been a meaningless visit otherwise.
