School Bans Hugs Over 2 Seconds

That's the funniest thing I have ever heard of...

Should a student be punished for hugging his/her grandma on the campus? I mean come on, it's one's grandma, not one's bf or gf...

What are the faculty members going to do... use a stopwatch?

"Oh! You hugged her for TWO point ONE second! Detention!"

"Wait! I just saw you hug the same person in a row for one and a half second each. That's three seconds total! You're suspended!"

Because hugging for more than 2 seconds can lead to sexual harassment. :)

I think this rule is absurd. I mean, come on, really - what could happen within 2 seconds? It's not like anything drastic would happen within 2 seconds.

I have seen a school that has similar rules but worst. A No Physical contact rule .. not even a high 5... I will have to dig it up. and post it.

It is an insane rule, But I wonder what history that school had to come up with that type of rule.

Are students complaining they are being groped or some sort?

wonder if they school been sued by a parent for someone inappropriately touching their child or something like that...

something had to happen for the school to make a such rule.

At my school we had 'no-PDA rules' Which included holding hands, kissing, and hugs. To get around this rule, they would simply grab on to each others backpacks, or stick their hands down eachothers back pockets.

The only time the PDA rule was lifted was for prom and school dances.

Ok, I won't touch anyone at such places, so if there's a fire, byebye, I won't pull you out. :bye: :laugh2: People with grudges might bump into those school officials and try to make it look like the officials touched them to bring down them in a scandal. Then if someone brings a gun to school, no touching the person to stop it.
