Witnesses Steal Dying Man's Groceries

Not only were the man's groceries taken, but the only person who tried to help him also had his own bags taken.

Mesa police told KPHO-TV in nearby Phoenix that the scavengers could face theft charges if they are eventually tracked down.

The elderly victim was waiting for a bus Tuesday night when a pickup truck swerved off the road and plowed into the stop. The man was sent flying as were his bags of groceries.

As the truck sped off with a white plastic bag flapping on its grill, witnesses began grabbing whatever scattered food they could get their hands on. Boro Mitrovich, who was himself nearly struck, said he ran to help the man and had his bag disappear as well.

"One minute it was on the ground, the next minute it was gone," Mitrovich told KPHO.

Wow... this is fucked up. It's bad enough to have someone steal from a dying man... but it's worse to steal from the man who's helping the dying man! Jeez!

What a terrible thing to do, people are not as kind anymore. Instead of calling for help for this poor old man, they rob him of his groceries. I agree, where is the morals in people's hearts today.

I couldn't believe this ! I feel so sorry for this elderly man. Imagine it what if, it was your father or grandpa ? Gee, those thieves should be in jail for stealin'.

And, yep there's no morals nowdays. They have no heart or understand how it feels bad people could get.

U used to live in Mesa? Same here and I hated it. It is not a good part of Phx.

That is just too fucked up for words! If I find those theives, I will make them go to a mortuary and apologize to every dead person there!
