Late last February, a man named Drake Parks went to a bank in Van Buren, Arkansas. A teller for the bank, a young woman, says that Mr. Parks made a transaction and left. Then she received a call from someone who was claiming to be the 50-year-old’s father. As KFSM 5 News reports, that phone call was pretty inappropriate.

Mr. Parks, posing as his father, told the bank teller that Drake had called her a bad name, the kind of bad name that I just don’t really feel comfortable alluding to in this blog. Let’s move on. Then he told the teller that Drake should be punished and that she could make $50 if she did it.

KNWA Northwest Arkansas News says that Drake then “got on the phone,” and said that he wanted the teller to do what his father had requested. When he started to give an address, he was hung up on. The woman then called police. KHBS Channel 40 News writes that Parks was arrested this week and charged with “harassing communications.”

Drake's mistake was in trying his scam on a bank teller; he would have had better luck going to that Walmart shoe department--the woman were more cooperative there.

Bank's worst place to scam or screw them up. They got all kinds of law and authorization to record every damn thing going on with Bank, and bam! evidence entered court room with no problem at all. At Wally world, it is whole different ballpark.
